REBELS WITH A CAUSE - WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

cate09

XR ACT has grown quickly and before the social isolation of Covid 10 we had new rebels signing up daily, especially around the time of our Autumn Rebellion last October and the horrors of the bushfires. We now have more than 1200 rebels on our mailing list. As a movement we rely on the energy and creativity of members to help drive us but like many movements we are often overly dependent on a small group of enthusiastic individuals. The more we share roles the more we can achieve.

Therefore, XR ACT will soon be launching an exciting new project to find out what our rebels think about XR ACT and what would motivate you – when we can get back on the streets – to become more engaged. In future newsletters we will be asking for your opinions via a brief survey and some small group interviews. Watch this space.

Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a do-it-together movement. All our design and artwork can be used non-commercially for the purpose of planet saving. This does not mean creating merchandise for fundraising or sending XR a percentage of your sales. We do not endorse or create any merchandise and we will pursue and prosecute anyone who does. The Extinction Symbol was designed in 2011 by street artist ESP, who loans XR usage on the same basis:

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
